Dimplex now offers unrivalled versatility in bathroom heating with its new IPX4 range of downflow fans. The form of the heater has been completely redesigned with a patent pending and it has a sleek, modern look featuring a double-insulated plastic case, pull cord and neon indicator.

Both models in the range have a powerful 2kW maximum output with 1kW selectable on installation for smaller bathrooms. What’s more, both models also incorporate a range of energy saving features. The FX20IPX4 has an energy saving thermostat which switches output down to 1kW once the room is warm, (when on 2kW setting on installation), while the FX20EIPX4 switches the heater off after a preset time to prevent it being left on accidentally. The period of operation is adjustable from five to 155 minutes on installation, although the heater can be manually switched off before the time period expires.

Installation is simple as the FXIPX4 range features two keyhole slots together with a third fixing hole for securing the unit. The footprint of the new FXIPX4 range is identical to Dimplex’s popular FX20 models, allowing straightforward retrofitting of the new IPX4 range.
